Affordable bras can be really hard to come by, regardless of whether they're eco-friendly or not. Especially if you want them to be comfortable, supportive, and last more than a few washes. But what if we told you the prices of these sustainable bras are very comparable—and sometimes even cheaper—than your favorite standard bras?

That might sound too good to be true, but it's not—promise. The sustainable bras from the brands below—like Boody and Pact—are made with eco-friendly, naturally-sourced materials (like organic bamboo and organic cotton), produced in WRAP-certified factories, and shipped in recycled and biodegradable packaging. Many of these companies also carefully measure their carbon footprint to ensure they're not harming the planet for fashion.

The next time you're due for some new sustainable bras, this is a great place to start.

5 Sustainable Bras That Are Worth Every Cent

Pact is a certified Fair Trade company that gives customers the option to carbon offset their orders, uses sustainable clothing materials to produce its products, and has recyclable or biodegradable packaging. This option is made from organic cotton and comes in seven different colors and patterns.

Boody makes its products from organic bamboo, which not only saves water, but also helps stop deforestation. Additionally, you can see the positive impact of each product before buying, including the number of driving emissions avoided, energy and water saved, and land farmed without the use of pesticides.

You can now find sustainable bras right at Walmart. This year, Gelmart launched Kindly, a line of plant-based bras and underwear. Made from sugarcane, these sustainable bras are soft, comfortable, size-inclusive (34A to 40DD), and incredibly affordable.

Proclaim is an LA-based company that produces ethically-made lingerie out of eco-friendly materials for women of all colors, shapes, and sizes. Some of the brand's featured materials include Tencel and Repreve (recycled polyester made from plastic bottles). Lastly, the brand uses 100% recycled materials in its packaging.

TomboyX praises inclusivity in its brand image and voice, actively supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, LGBTQ+ rights, and body positivity. The company holds a wealth of factory certifications, including ones from the Fair Labor Association and Sedex. This bralette comes in sizes XS to 4X and is made from Tencel Modal.
