Craving Eggnog? This Vegan Version Is Just as Creamy as the Real Deal
You don't need eggs or dairy to make eggnog. This planet-friendly vegan eggnog recipe gets its creaminess from oat milk! Here's how to make it.

Eggnog is a holiday staple. So much so that 122 pounds of it are consumed every holiday season, and it's the top-searched holiday recipe in multiple states.
Just like the name states, the traditional beverage is made with egg yolks, milk, and heavy cream—not exactly the most eco-friendly combo, as both eggs and dairy. But if you're looking for a plant-based version that's better for the planet, vegan eggnog is totally possible—and it only takes a minute or two to make.
Carleigh Bodrug, the recipe developer behind @plantyou, shared a vegan eggnog recipe on TikTok that's just as delicious and creamy as the real thing—no eggs needed. Bodrug swapped the animal products for oat milk and coconut milk, giving it the beloved thick and creamy texture. Then maple syrup, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon provide the sweetness and flavor.
Once blended, you get a drink that rivals any store-bought option you'll find. Want to give it a try for yourself? Here's everything you'll need to make vegan eggnog of your own. It's so tasty you'll want to sip on it all season long.
