When she's not out touring, singer Camila Cabello is looking for new vegan recipes to try.

Cabello isn't exactly vegan or vegetarian all the time, but in a new interview on the Home Cooking podcast, she told listeners that she's trying to transition to more plant-based eating. And, with that, she's hoping to add some stellar planet-friendly dishes to her Thanksgiving table this year.

"What are some good vegan options for Thanksgiving dinner?" she asked podcast hosts Samin Nosrat and Hrishikesh Hirway. "This is going to be my first time cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Is there anything you suggest for a vegan dinner that some people in the family who aren’t vegan will still enjoy?"

The hosts suggested a vegan take on a traditionally meaty dish. Nosrat shared a recipe created by fellow foodies Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi in their cookbook, Jerusalem: A Cookbook, which featured stuffed eggplant with pine nuts.

The recipe originally calls for lamb meat, but the podcast hosts assured Cabello that you can swap the lamb for a vegan alternative like Beyond Beef crumbles. Immediately, the pop star was totally on board.

"I’ve had Beyond Meat in a vegan burrito with some cheese and it tastes amazing," she says. "It tastes just like meat."

Camila has said in the past that her desire to eat more plant-based was partially influenced by her now ex-boyfriend, Shawn Mendes. Apparently, it was only after they started dating that she tried broccoli for the first time—hopefully she liked it!

No matter where Cabello's new plant-based journey takes her—whether she decides to go vegan or just add more veggies to her diet—making a stuffed eggplant dish for Thanksgiving sounds like a win for her dinner guests and the planet.
