Let’s face it – most of us are addicted to shopping at Amazon, the world’s biggest online store. The convenience, pricing, and selection can be difficult to beat, but it comes at a cost. At Brightly, we’re constantly trying out new brands who embody the values of conscious consumerism, and we are big fans of Public Goods.

   Products I Reviewed:

Olive Oil, Mints, and Beeswax Wrap

   Star Rating: ★★★★★

"I have always bought oil in plastic bottles without even realizing. I love the bottle and that when I’m done with the oil I can wash the bottle and use it for something else! I have tried so many things to try and get a garlic-y taste out and nothing has worked until these mints! The bees wax was not only loved by me, but my family started reaching for them instead of plastic cling wrap when wrapping up leftovers!"

   Products I Tried:

Body Lotion, Body Wash, Conditioner, and Shampoo

   Star Rating: ★★★★☆

"The packaging was very simple and sleek, however it was easy to mistake them for one another! I LOVED the lotion. Very easy on my sensitive skin and very luxurious feeling. The conditioner also made my hair VERY soft."

   Rubilyn Loanzon

   Products I Reviewed:

Olive Oil, Mints, and Beeswax Wrap

   Star Rating: ★★★★☆

"All three items received are similar to products in my kitchen but are more sustainable and eco-friendly. I’ve never tried beeswax wrap before and actually really enjoyed using them. It has definitely shed some light on some of the purchases I have made in the past for the kitchen. Especially when it comes to olive oil in plastic bottles and using plastic tupperware for leftovers, snacks, or fruits."

   Products I Reviewed:

    Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Lotion

   Star Rating: ★★★★☆

"I love the fact that Public Goods applies their focus on sustainability to all aspects of their company. Previously, my focus in buying sustainable personal care products was eliminating waste entirely by only using products such as shampoo and conditioner bars. These products have shown me that while it is good to minimize or eliminate my waste output, there are other methods to go about that such as using products that emphasize reusing their product bottles."

   Products I Reviewed:

Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion, and Body Wash

   Star Rating: ★★★★☆

"This is my first time trying anything from Public Goods, but I have to say that I am loving it! I was shocked to see that the bottles were made out of sugarcane instead of plastic. I have tried many shampoos and conditioners that are sulfate free and I love these the most! They leave my hair feeling soft and free of tangles until my next wash day. I love the slight citrus smell as well. The lotion left my skin feeling super smooth and soft. The body wash was also great, although I’m more of a bar soap fan."

   Acadia Ferrero-Lampron

   Products I Reviewed:

Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, and Lotion

   Star Rating: ★★★★★

"I have tried other zero-waste shampoo and conditioners like these from my local bulk store and I think I like these even better! They have better coverage and I like the sugarcane bottles better than the glass ones I was using because I don’t have to worry about them breaking. Compared to shampoo and conditioner bars that I have also tried, these products are much easier to use and last longer."

   Kennedy Johnson

   Products I Reviewed:

Olive Oil, Beeswax Wraps, and Mints

   Star Rating: ★★★★★

"The olive oil was very similar to others in the space, but I loved the cute glass bottle and loved that it can also be recycled/upcycled into something else. The beeswax wraps were so awesome to use for storing food instead of using plastic wrap/plastic ziploc bags. The mints were much stronger than typical mints I use, which I prefer."

   Jordyn Lackey

   Products I Reviewed:

Olive Oil, Mints, and Beeswax Wrap

   Star Rating: ★★★★★

"I am a big fan of these mints! They have a great taste, sweet but not too sweet and pleasantly minty. The tin they come in is super cute and is thin enough to fit well in my small purse. Others I have tried were too sweet and difficult to open. These beeswax wraps seemed about the same as others that I have tried. They work pretty well for me but not fantastic. These were packed using minimal plastic, so that was a big difference."

   Keller Hudson

   Products I Reviewed:

Olive Oil, Mints, and Beeswax Wrap

   Star Rating: ★★★★☆

"I feel like all of the products were comparable (if not better) than what is already on the market. I am no stranger to olive oil and mints, but I was new to beeswax and very impressed."
