If you haven’t jumped on the nice cream bandwagon yet, it’s time to change that. Essentially ice cream minus the dairy, nice cream is just as creamy and delicious as the real deal. However, because it’s made with plant-based ingredients, it’s more eco-friendly than desserts made with cow’s milk.
While you can make an endless variety of nice creams, Stephanie Manzinali, the vegan food blogger behind @that.veganbabe, shared a recipe on TikTok that’s hard to beat: cookie dough. It’s also incredibly easy to make. You just add bananas, almond butter, maple syrup, mini chocolate chips, and a few other ingredients to a blender.
“If you haven’t tried nice cream yet, this is a great one to start with. It’s super sweet and satisfying,” she says. “Store it in the freezer, or eat right away.”

Cookie Dough Nice Cream Recipe
1/2 cup almond flour
1/4 cup maple syrup
3 Tbsp almond butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp mini chocolate chips
Nice Cream Ingredients:
4 frozen bananas
1 Tbsp peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Splash of plant milk (as little as possible to get a thick consistency)
1. Add the cookie dough ingredients to a blender (except for the chocolate chips) and blend until smooth. Mix in the chocolate chips.
2. Add all the nice cream ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
3. Stir your cookie dough pieces into the nice cream mixture.
4. Enjoy right away, or store it in the freezer in an airtight container.
