Dazey LA is a 100% female-owned company that makes art apparel that empowers women through conversation and community. Their whimsical apparel is made in Los Angeles by garment workers being paid a living wage in clean and safe facilities. The brand works ensure sustainability by printing tees to order, creates in small batches, and uses organic and deadstock fabric.

2. Wolven

Who said basics have to be… basic? Check out Wolven if you’re in the market for colorful basics, activewear, swimwear, or leisurewear. The brand “makes sustainability sexy” by being Climate Neutral Certified, a 1% for the Planet Member, and supporters of environmental initiatives. Wolven also uses recycled P.E.T. and carbon-neutral modal fabrics, which generate less carbon emissions, are carbon neutral, and require far less water than cotton.

3. Back Beat Co.

The AAPI-owned brand Back Beat Co. infuses modern Cali-cool basics with nods to old school surf ‘n’ skate culture. The company prides itself in prioritizing the ethical and social responsibility of every aspect of creating, producing, and selling clothes before profit margins.

4. Mayamiko

Look no further than Mayamiko if you want the colorful sustainable clothing of your dreams. This responsible womenswear and lifestyle brand hails from Malawi and is dedicated to putting people and the planet at the heart of its process. Mayamiko’s beautiful collections are designed for the global woman and inspired by the Indigenous artisans located where their items are made.

5. Lucy & Yak

No one does colorful sustainable clothing quite like Lucy & Yak. This size-inclusive UK-based shop is committed to ensuring supply chain transparency and works closely with a factory in India to ensure fair wages and a safe working environment. 6. Girlfriend Collective

If you’re familiar with the sustainable fashion space, you’re most likely familiar with this ethically-made activewear brand. 7. Big Bud Press
